You will build the data platform every engagement runs on. Not a reference architecture that lives in a diagram — the pipelines, contracts, and orchestration that a client’s operations team depends on at 7am on a Monday.
What you’ll own
- Ingestion and modelling for client data estates, from source contracts through to the serving layer the decision systems read.
- Orchestration, lineage, and data quality gates — including what happens when a source goes silent, which is the part most platforms skip.
- Cost and performance of the platform in production, with the numbers to show it.
- The handoff: the client’s own engineers should be able to run and extend what you built after you step back.
What we look for
- Strong Python and SQL, and real production experience with Spark, dbt, and a modern orchestrator.
- You have operated a platform, not only built one — you have been paged, and you fixed the cause.
- Comfort working directly with client engineers and analysts rather than through a layer of project management.
- Judgement about when a warehouse is enough and when it is not.
Where you’ll sit
